3VR Security, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in image analysis/computer vision to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position is a hard-core software programmer who can also claim to be a computer vision guru. We are looking for someone with a passion and expertise in teaching computers how to see and understand the real world as people do. 80-100% of the engineer’s time will be spent designing and coding, with the goal of creating rapid, efficient implementations of state-of-the-art algorithms of image/video manipulation and analysis of unstructured scenes. The best fit for our team is someone who is smart, enthusiastic, productive, flexible, and collaborative. Things move from idea to product very quickly here, and we work in an agile, cooperative way to build high-quality, scaleable systems.
We are a software startup of about 35 people located in the SOMA/South Beach area of San Francisco, across the street from SBC Park and from the CalTrain station. 3VR makes digital video surveillance products for the physical security industry - our product has won the "Best New Product of the Year" award at the Security Industry's big trade show in Las Vegas the last two years. We are a very fun group of bright, energetic technology people - we've recently raised a substantial round of funding, our sales are healthy and increasing every quarter, and we will be growing substantially throughout 2006, so this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a terrific company.
We pay competitive salaries, with equity and full benefits as part of the package.
