3VR v4.0 Disrupts Decades-Old, Reactive Security Paradigm to Enable Proactive Detection and Preemption of Threats in Commercial and Government Environments
LAS VEGAS - ISC WEST 2006 - April 6, 2006 - 3VR Security, Inc., the pioneer of Intelligent Video Management Systems (IVMS) that convert raw video from security cameras into intelligently searchable information, is proud to announce that it has received the prestigious Best New Product award in the competitive Digital Video Systems category at the New Product Showcase during the International Security Conference (ISC) West 2006. The company was also selected from all entrants as the Judges Choice. The awards represent back-to-back NPS wins, as 3VR was named Best New Video Product in 2005.
"Security professionals are tasked with protecting critical assets, but until now they have been hindered by technology shortcomings that forced them into an unfavorable position of reactive threat assessment," said Stephen Russell, CEO of 3VR Security. "We are greatly honored to receive this validation from the people for whom we designed the 3VR solution-the individuals we are dedicated to providing with the tools they need to be more proactive, effective and strategic."
The company's new product, 3VR v4.0, stood out from the competition because it is the security industry's first IVMS to combine video with sophisticated biometrics and motion and object analytics in a highly-integrated solution. Judges recognized 3VR's IVMS platform for its ability to enable proactive threat detection and assessment, conduct faster and more comprehensive investigations, and easily integrate into existing security systems.
More than 90 new products and services were entered in the program, which was established more than a decade ago to identify and showcase innovation in electronic security products and services. Judges based their decision on innovative technology and methodology, originality of concept and design, level of performance, and market impact. The panel of judges consisted of security professionals across a variety of industry from casino gaming to manufacturing and government.
"The Security Industry Association would like to extend our congratulations to 3VR," said Jennifer Hart Ackerman, Manager of the New Product Showcase for SIA Security. "NPS is the premier venue for launching important new security products to the industry."
