It's that time of year again! Retail's BIG Show begins this Sunday and we're so excited to tell you about the latest developments at 3VR. We enjoyed a record 2014 and are looking forward to continued growth as well as bringing you more innovative retail and security solutions in 2015.
From January 11-13, 2015, you'll be able to experience hands-on demos of the 3VR Customer Insights family of retail solutions for marketing, store operations, and loss prevention. Here's a breakdown of what will be on display in booth 926:
There may be stormy skies in the forecast for Fort Lauderdale this week, but you won’t have to worry about the rain if you’ll be inside the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center for the NRF Loss Prevention Conference + Expo 2014. From June 10-13, nearly 3000 professionals will be in town to discuss and learn about the issues they face in the retail LP industry, including organized retail crime, fraud, shrink, and investigations. Be sure to use #NRFLP14 to follow the conversation online!
When evaluating security solutions, one of the biggest challenges is building confidence in the integrity of the video surveillance system. You want to be able to trust that the system will not fail and that the data will be there when you need it. Carolinas Healthcare System (CHS) had over 125 DVRs and 2,600 cameras in over 900 facilities, but no diagnostic or video health check capabilities to monitor the availability or condition of video security assets. Unfortunately, poor video quality, hard drive failures and individual camera failures were routinely discovered when data were needed most to aid security investigators.
Like many retailers, Chico’s FAS faced challenges with employee theft and shoplifting. Of their 1,250 locations, 50 high-shrink stores were installed with CCTV equipment that did an adequate job of identifying suspicious activity, but the LP team struggled with their legacy platform: they were unable to access archived video quickly or easily, and gathering evidence to build cases for security investigations was tedious and cumbersome. In order to better combat shrink, Chico’s needed a solution that would help them speed up investigations, investigate potential employee theft and conduct store audits.
After months of planning and looking forward to the event, it's hard to believe that Day One of NRF's BIG Show 2014 is already done! The 3VR team had a great first day. Here's a recap:
Yesterday morning, we officially launched our new suite of in-store analytics at the show. 3VR VisionPoint™ Retail Analytics generate incredible value for brick-and-mortar merchants by transforming raw data from surveillance video into real-time, actionable insights. VisionPoint Retail Analytics include a Business Intelligence Dashboard, a Queue Management application, and Digital Signage Analytics. You can see how digital signage works for yourself at our NRF booth (#3745).
We’re so excited that our first major show this year will be the NRF Retail’s Big Show in New York City. In the spirit of the New Year, here are a few resolutions we want to check off our list during the show and our stay in the Big Apple.
San Francisco may have transformed into Gotham City last week in order to fulfill the wish of 5-year old Miles Scott, aka Batkid, but we’re excited to be headed to the real Gotham City in New York for ISC East 2013 (and again in January for NRF BIG Show!).
Join us at the Javits Center in New York City from November 20-21 at booth 438. We’ll show you how 3VR can help your company protect against loss and investigate and solves crimes quickly. You can also learn about our new line of NVRs/HVRs and VisionPoint™ VMS video management software. Whether you’re someone who needs a video solution to drive business growth or a security system integrator looking to forge new partnerships, we look forward to meeting you at ISC East.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (aka Yolanda) which tore through the Philippines last week, causing millions in damages and displacing hundreds of thousands of citizens. The official death toll is currently around 2,300, but countless others are still missing. The devastation has left survivors panicked and desperate for food, clean water, shelter, and medical help.
If you would like to contribute to the relief efforts, please consider donating to the following organizations. Again, beware of fraudulent charities to make sure that your donations go where they are supposed to.
