SmartCam Program

While virtually all cameras work with the 3VR Platform, we work with select partners to create seamless integration between camera and SmartRecorder to provide a turnkey solution for integrators and end users.

3VR SmartCams provide streamlined remote configuration and management options that dramatically reducing the burden of support for customers and integrators as well as advanced features to improve storage performance without sacrificing an ounce of analytic power.

3VR SmartCams are rigorously tested in our labs to ensure the highest performance with the 3VR Platform.

All SmartCams provide:

Auto-discovery – providing for automatic network discovery of the camera.
Configuration API – allowing all camera settings that are available in the camera’s web UI or Camera configuration software to be configured remotely in the 3VR user interface.
Dual/Multi-Streaming – Every stream from the camera is available as both MJPEG and a second MPEG4 or H.264 stream simultaneously.

SmartCams also provide one or more advanced features:

Virtual cameras – For cameras with 1MP or larger sensors, allows secondary streams of 1 or more sub-regions comprising a portion of the sensor area. Each region can be treated as separate camera stream.
Exposure Control and Exposure Window adjustment – allows 3VR user to remotely control the region of the scene that the camera uses for auto-gain and auto-exposure calculations.
Camera-Side DPTZ – allows an operator to control the pan, tilt, zoom-like functionality on a camera allowing them to follow and gain more insight into what is happening on the ground without impacting storage duration.
On-camera Analytics support – An API that allows the camera to host 3VR video analytics.
