3VR SmartCam Certification Program

3VR SmartCam Program

3VR works with select camera partners through our SmartCam program to provide documented certification of interoperability between our respective platforms. We put devices through a rigorous test to ensure the highest performance with our platform, as well as establish the ease of set-up, support and operation for security system integrators and end-users.

Tighter integration and a higher level of understanding between the cameras and 3VR enable us to offer an enhanced solution that combines 3VR’s innovative search and analytic functionality and easy-to-use configuration interface with our partners’ diverse range of high-performance cameras.

All 3VR SmartCam Certified products provide:

Auto-discovery:

All cameras must have a documented protocol for network discovery allowing the camera to be detected through the 3VR interface.

Configuration API:

All camera settings that are available via the camera’s native Web UI or camera configuration software are also available to users via the 3VR user interface, allowing completed camera configuration through the 3VR user interface and reducing the need to travel onsite to adjust and configure cameras.

Dual/Multi-Streaming:

Every stream from the camera is available as both a primary stream (H.264, MPEG4, or MJPEG) and at least one secondary stream (MJPEG or bitmap) simultaneously, preferably in independent resolutions and frame rates allowing for high quality streams to be used for analytic purposes while optimizing storage of lower resolution images.
