Ports that must be open to connect to 3VR systems that are behind a firewall

You can use OpCenterSM Remote, SystemManagerSM, and AlertViewerSM to connect to a 3VR server behind a firewall.

3VR SmartRecorders use the following ports to communicate with client systems:

TCP Port

Functionality

3043, 3044 Enables basic data access, monitoring, and management
3001 Allows client applications to log errors, statistics, and user actions
2500 Allows user to view live video
3020 Allows remote upgrades, restarts, and network settings changes

The three different client applications require different ports:

Application

OpCenter X X X
SystemManager X X   X X
AlertViewer X X

Note to Enterprise Appliance Customers:

If you have a 3VR Enterprise Appliance, you will need to open ports 3045 and 1801 in addition to those listed above.

Note: port 1801 only needs to be open between the Enterprise Appliance and all SmartRecorders on the enterprise, and does not need to be open to client systems.

Note about Plug-ins:

Some 3VR plug-ins require additional ports - see the plug-in documentation for more information.
